Your celebrant: Laura Read
Laura Read BSc MA is one of a growing network of independent celebrants who write and conduct life-centred ceremonies including funerals, weddings and namings.
Over the last twenty years, Laura worked in many settings from a children's home to a hospice. In 2000 she was awarded an OBE for her work with deafblind people. She now creates ceremonies to match individual needs and is a qualified Civil Funeral Celebrant and Member of the Institute of Civil Funerals (see www.iocf.org.uk).
You can ask Laura about any concerns you have when planning an important occasion. She will help you to think through what would work best in your particular circumstances.
Laura is available to conduct ceremonies in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire or Leicestershire. Ceremonies outside the area may also be considered by special arrangement.
