Baby Namings

This is a wonderful way for parents, family and friends to celebrate the birth of a child.
You may like to have the baby-naming at home or find another friendly venue where everyone can feel comfortable.

"Kira's naming ceremony was fantastic and very moving - we can't thank you enough for making this occasion so special." Jackie and Alan, Peterborough

Baby

You might ask particular people to play a special role in your child’s welfare, rather as godparents do, and these people can have individual roles in the ceremony. There are many ways to mark the significance of the occasion from lighting candles to planting a tree. We can suggest poetry and readings and encourage your guests, including children, to take part.

We will prepare a naming certificate for you.
As well as the certificate, we will give you a copy of the script so that in the future your child will be able to read what was said and see how thoughtfully you welcomed him or her into your lives.

You will have a memorable ceremony full of joy.

At Millie Peach's
Naming Day,
three generations of her family
had all prepared different things to say:

Millie's sister, Alex:"Millie you mean so much to me, I'll be there for as you grow older because I love you so much your everything to me I'm so glad you're my little sister. I'll look after you through your whole life, I love you ."

Millie's mother, Sarah:"To be a parent forces you to recognize that you are no longer a child. Claiming adulthood, we look at our children and see ourselves. We feel the temptation to help them succeed where we have failed. But as much as we seek to make them like us, we cannot. What we can do is see that they do their best and assist them in achieving whatever they wish for themselves. And as they grow, they will in turn be pushing us to grow with them. This we can do, if we love them not for who they may become, but for who they are-unique and special."

Millie's grandmother Trisha: "Millie Peach, I want to share with you my thoughts and feelings and tell you about the joy and unconditional love that surged through me and left me weak, when I first held you in my arms and you looked at me with those blue eyes like stars shining in a night sky, and you touched my soul. I want to tell you how precious you are to me and how I look forward to the first time you put your soft hand in mine and walk by my side and the first time you look at me with love and call me Grandma. "Blessed am I" xxxx
